Abstract
Comments on the topic of the question starting from Aristotle’s Posterior Analytics, and continuing with the function of the Socratic question.
Reconstructed from a lecture given by Alexandru Dragomir in September 1986, based on notes which I took at the time . In the sequence from the Sophist regarding the relation between cathartic ritual and interrogative treatment, I have expanded the quotations and made explicit some of the Greek terminology.
