Abstract

Knowledge of the long-term effects of FASD has increased in recent years, and special attention has been focused on adolescents and young adults with neurobehavioural and psychosocial problems or problems with the law without a prior FASD diagnosis. However, there has been little discussion about the ethical issues concerning the implementation of a screening programme for diagnosing FASD in adolescents and young adults.
