Electronic Properties of Monolayer and Multilayer Graphene

Abstract

We present a theoretical review of the basic electronic properties of graphene and its multilayers in terms of the effective mass approximation. Using the low-energy effective Hamiltonian, we describe the electronic spectra, the transport properties, the optical absorption and the orbital magnetism, which are distinct from those of conventional systems.
