Résumé

La présence d’un syndrome des antiphospholipides (SAPL) peut amener un patient à être pris en charge aux urgences ou hospitalisé en unités de soins intensifs du fait des différentes atteintes thrombotiques, des complications obstétricales voire des complications iatrogènes (surdosage en antivitamines K). Surtout, le SAPL peut se présenter sous la forme d’un syndrome catastrophique des antiphospholipides (CAPS), parfois inaugural et dont le pronostic est mauvais en l’absence de traitement adapté. Sa reconnaissance par le médecin urgentiste est donc particulièrement importante. Dans ce chapitre, nous ferons un rappel sur le SAPL puis développerons plus particulièrement le CAPS.
