Résumé
Malgré l’attention populaire et scientifique considérable portée envers les troubles du spectre autistique (TSA), relativement peu de connaissances empiriques sont encore disponibles pour guider notre compréhension de la douleur et de son traitement chez les enfants autistes. De plus, certaines notions préétablies qui suggèrent que les enfants atteints de TSA seraient indifférents ou même insensibles à la douleur viennent aggraver ce manque de connaissances.
