Résumé
Les métastases cérébrales atteignent 20 à 40 % des patients atteints de cancer avec une incidence qui augmente régulièrement. Les métastases cérébrales constituent la maladie néoplasique la plus fréquente du cerveau, loin devant les tumeurs primitives (1), (2). L’âge médian de survenue d’une métastase cérébrale est de 60 ans ; 80 % des patients ont plus d’une métastase cérébrale (3). Les métastases cérébrales du cancer du sein représentent 15 à 30 % des métastases cérébrales dans les séries de la littérature et selon le stade de la maladie : 2,5 % au stade localisé, 7,5 % au stade régional et 13,5 % au stade métastatique (1), (4), (5).
