Surgical technique for the resection of tumors in relation with the V1 and V2 segments of the vertebral artery

  • Chapter

Abstract

The vertebral arteries (VAs) run in the cervical soft tissues and are in contact at each cervical level with the vertebra, the intervertebral disc, the cervical nerve root, and surrounding soft tissues. Each of these structures can be at the origin of a tumor that therefore develops in close relation with the artery.
