Abstrait

Comme les autres syndromes myéloprolifératifs,la leucémie myéloïde chronique (LMC)est un processus monoclonal résultant de l’atteinte d’une cellule souche. C ’est essentiellement la lignée granuleuse qui y prolifère. Elle est caractérisée par une aberration acquise du caryotype : la translocation (9 ;22)ou chromosome Philadelphie (Ph1), se traduisant par la juxtaposition anormale des gènes abl du chromosome 9 et bcr du chromosome 22 (1).Il s ’agit du premier exemple de signature chromosomique et moléculaire mis en évidence parmi les cancers humains.
