Abstrait
Avec 42 000 nouveaux cas en France, le cancer du sein occupe le premier rang des cancers féminins. Dans la plupart des pays industrialisés, il constitue la première cause de mortalité par cancer chez les femmes, sauf aux États-Unis et en Grande-Bretagne où le cancer bronchique induit une mortalité plus élevée (1, 2). Ces statistiques en font un véritable problème de santé publique. Il touche de façon préférentielle les femmes de moins de 60 ans, avec un pic de fréquence observé vers ľâge de 50 ans (3). Un diagnostic précoce est, au côté des avancĘs thérapeutiques significatives récentes, un élément clef permettant ďaméliorer le pronostic.
