Abstract
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by chronic inflammation of the joints that leads to progressive and irreversible destruction of bone and cartilage, with joint pain, stiffness, and swelling as predominant symptoms. It is one of the most common autoimmune diseases affecting approximately 1% of the world’s population.
