Abstract
In this second of five chapters on multimodal usability methods (Section 6.2.2), all methods presented focus on discussion between development team representatives, on the one hand, and customer representatives or potential or actual users, on the other. Three of the main strengths of discussions in meetings are to (i) generate and elaborate upon new ideas, (ii) collectively get deeper into the problems and issues facing the development project and (iii) help reach agreement and consensus. These virtues make discussions in well-prepared meetings a vital source of usability information. Moreover, meetings tend to be low cost.
