Abstract
We provide a method to determine the initial estimates for the center and radius of a circle in this chapter. These initial estimates may then be refined using any one of the iterative algorithms described in the preceding chapter. In this chapter, we also extend on the discussion from the previous chapter to present solution approaches for the problem of determining least-squares best-fit estimates for the sphere and the cylinder.
