Abstract

Our understanding of the biology of tumors, approach to their diagnosis, and management strategies has dramatically evolved over the decades and basic science research as well as clinical outcomes studies continue to add to the existing knowledge. This chapter outlines the current approach to musculoskeletal tumors including their diagnosis, staging, biopsy, and management strategies as well as zone-specific approach to limb tumors including discussion on pathologic fractures.
