Abstract

This chapter reviews the surgical technique and definitions of robotic pulmonary resection. The early outcomes are presented, and they suggest that robotic pulmonary resection is safe, feasible, reproducible, and teachable. The early outcomes clearly show advantages over open techniques.

The principle investigator of this study (Robert Cerfolio) has lectured for Intuitive

(Sunnyvale, CA).
