Abstract

The differential diagnosis, pertinent history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies related to choledochal cysts, cholecystitis, choledocholithiasis, gallstone ileus, postcholecystectomy complications, liver mass, and liver abscess are reviewed. We also include the different types of cysts and their respective treatments, common curveballs, and clean kill answers when dealing with questions on the oral boards.
