Abstract
Cancer patients comprise a large portion of those needing acute and critical care services. These patients may require critical care on a short-term basis for the complications of the underlying malignancy or for aggressive antineoplastic therapy. The following formulas and facts will aid the clinician in the diagnosis and management of these patients.
