Part of the book series: Issues in Clinical Child Psychology ((ICCP))

Abstract

This chapter offers a framework and defines models of peer review within human services and behavioral healthcare organizations providing crisis intervention and support for children and adults with IDD. The many objectives of peer review are described including discussion about resource allocation, reporting clinical incidence data, designing intervention policies and procedures, assessing intervention integrity, and training staff. The process of implementing peer review is illustrated through several performance improvement projects.
