Abstract
With the shuttle making frequent visits to the ISS, re-stocking with fresh supplies, including medications, was routine. With the end of the space shuttle, NASA is now in a transition phase. But in the interest of true exploration, longer missions are under consideration for the future. These may last up to 3 years and re-supply may not be possible. We are taking this opportunity to think ahead to what these very different kinds of missions would require.
