Abstract
Image processing is a very lengthy and complicated subject. An entire book could be written (and many have been) on the subject of image processing alone. Because of the depth of this subject, this book will only cover the basics of image processing, and it is suggested that you seek out as much additional information from other sources as you can. Image processing is as much an art as it is a science. Many of the techniques that can be used result in a subjective choice as to whether you like the results they have on your final image.
