Abstract

Natural resources are a key element of any country’s economic growth and development. Extraction and transformation of natural resources have impacts on ecosystems and human health, as well as both positive and negative social and economic effects. Formal and informal economic activities based on natural resources generate access to goods and services through barter or cash income.
