Abstract
There are a number of surgical eyebrow lifting procedures to address the aging eyebrow. The techniques, which use hidden incision (bicoronal, endoscopic, pretrichial) to camouflage potential scars, are primarily used in cosmetic cases. While they can provide excellent results, they are time intensive, costly, have a steep learning curve, and do lead to troublesome complications such as prolonged sensory deficit, allopecia, and itching. In the current chapter, the authors discuss direct eyebrow lifting, an approach traditionally reserved for their correction of functional deficits. We believe, in the appropriate patient, these procedures also lead to reasonable aesthetic outcomes.
