Abstract
Stem erect or ascending, small, seldom to frequently branched, siphonostelic, or nearly so, rather indurated, bearing scales; leaves ca. 10–40 cm long, pinnate, thin and lacking stomates, circinate in the bud, petiole base without stipules; sporangia borne in marginal sori on a short receptacle, enclosed by a bivalved indusium, subsessile, with an oblique annulus not interrupted by the stalk; homosporous, spores lacking chlorophyll. Gametophyte not known.
