Abstract
Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Colleagues: I speak to you today about my great-grandfather, Dr. Pierre Marie, whom I always admired. I am delighted to honor with you tonight the memory of this humble man. But first I would like to thank Dr. Richard Robbins and Prof. Roger Guillemin for their kind invitation. Since I met Prof. Guillemin last year, we have established an exchange of information and documents concerning my great-grandfather.
