Abstract
The difficulties encountered by the single-stage and heterogeneous accretion models are sufficiently serious as to justify reconsideration of the homogeneous accretion hypothesis. It is conceivable that some of the earlier difficulties of this hypothesis might have been reduced or eliminated as a result of subsequent interpretations concerning the properties and composition of the Earth’s core and its equilibrium with the mantle (Chapter 3).
