Abstract

This chapter discusses the specifics of how one engages the medical staff as well as the employees during the CPOE project. He discusses the hospital’s formation of a Physician Informatics Committee and their role in the project. He also presents recommendations for physician and staff training, including his suggestions for each major specialty. He also suggests specific formats for key engagement events during the course of CPOE.
