Abstract
A 53-year-old female is preparing to donate blood stem cells for her sister who is in second remission of acute myeloid leukemia. The prospective donor is in good health and has not had significant medical antecedents. She weighs 70 kg (BMI 28.7), while the recipient weight is 80 kg (BMI 30.5). Requested CD34+ cell dose is 4 × 106/kg recipient body weight.
