Abstract
An 18-year-old woman presented in emergency department with fever, headache, and progressively slurred speech. She was in good health until 3 days before admission. Blood counts showed hemoglobin of 8.8 g/dl, WBC 7.1 × 109/l, and platelet count of 11 × 109/l. Blood film showed numerous red cell fragments and spherocytes.
