Abstract
Antidegradants are substances that protect polymers against effects that may change their structure and deteriorate their properties. These adverse effects appear in the course of polymer processing and during utilization of plastic materials. Antidegradants are heat stabilizers, antioxidants, metallic ion deactivating agents, UV protecting agents, flame retardants, and biocides.
