Abstract

The histopathological analysis of alopecia has represented a vexing area for clinicians and pathologists for as long as microscopes have existed. From the clinical perspective, there has been frustration that the pathologist or dermatopathologist could not provide them with a specific microscopical diagnosis that correlated with their clinical impression.
