Abstract

Once again, we find ourselves needing to build a robot that requires a different type of motion—in this case, zipping down a line to King Ixtua’s throne! The robot must be designed in such a way that it avoids the risk of falling into the pit (or of falling from too high a distance above the throne). Before we begin building and programming a robot, however, we need to examine the challenge facing our little robot and develop a plan of attack. We are facing the final obstacle between us and King Ixtua’s treasure—let’s conquer it, shall we?
