Potential functions have been derived for the calculation of the total cell emf (EB and EH) for emf cells with liquid junctions and containing the system \({\rm AOH} - {\rm BY}_{\rm z(B)} - {\rm H}_{\rm y} {\rm L} - {\rm AY}.\) At first, the presence of the species \({\rm H}^+ , {\rm OH}^-, {\rm B}^{\rm z(B)+}, {\rm L}^{{\rm y}-}, {\rm A}^+, {\rm Y}^-\) is considered.
