Abstract
Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) noise mitigation from the pre-amp Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) to the photon detector (PD) in optical receivers can be reduced by optimizing the EDFA at the optical receiver level to achieve optimal optical receiver transmission Performance.
