Abstract

Cervical polyps are pedunculated masses that vary in size from several millimeters to centimeters, are usually found in the endocervical canal, and protrude from the cervical os (Fig. 9-1). Occasionally, polyps protruding from the cervical os are endometrial in origin. Cervical polyps are often single, but they can be multiple. They are usually bright red, spongy in nature, and friable.
