Abstract

The members of a human family are related, but that does not mean your Uncle Ed looks or behaves anything like your mother. So it is with stars. All stars are related through a variety of physical processes, yet all are different, some amazingly so, rather like Mom being a ballerina and Ed a sumo wrestler (as unlikely as that may be). Even as identical twins have subtle differences, no two similar-appearing stars are really quite alike either.
