Abstract
In this chapter we compare some aspects of our description logic for composite objects as introduced in chapters 5 and 6 to other approaches dealing with part-of in description logics. These other approaches were introduced in chapter 4. We discuss the underlying model for part-of, the description logic language, subsumption, specialized inferences and hierarchies for part-of for individuals and concepts.
