Summary.
In the last chapter, we introduced a number of basic techniques for retrieving and integrating heterogeneous information sources. In this chapter, we report an application of some of these techniques in a project on the integration of European fishery statistics. We identify the special characteristics of statistical information and focus on the use of the Web Ontology Language for representing statistical information and for retrieving information based on a semantic description.
