Abstract

In Appendix B, we have critically confirmed the evaluation of the self electromagnetic force and power, (3.1) and (3.2), leading to the force and power equations of motion (2.1) and (2.4). Yet (2.1) and (2.4) are inconsistent, since taking the scalar product of u with (2.1) gives (2.5), which differs from (2.4) by the term (2.6). Not only the self electromagnetic momentum-energy but also the self electromagnetic force-power fails to transform as a four-vector. What has gone wrong?
