Conclusions
Enhanced CT and MRI are optimal imaging modalities in evaluating the liver tumors following RFA.10 Both techniques provide reliable assessment of therapeutic results. With the benefit of T2-weighted images and superior tissue contrast, MRI can be particularly helpful in detecting recurrent tumor with a gross enlargement pattern and when CT findings are inconsistent with clinical pictures. Triphasic technique is essential when the treated tumor is hypervascular.
