Abstract

The jarrah forest is found in the south-western region of Australia, where the climate is conventionally described as mediterranean. In Köppen’s notation (1936 and earlier works) the characteristics of this climate are C (warm temperate, coldest month below 18°C) and s (driest summer month receiving less than one-third as much rain as the wettest winter month).
