Abstract
Interferon has been shown to be effective and is now widely used in the treatment of chronic viral hepatitis, but it is not universally effective and is sometimes associated with intolerable side effects. Management of patients who fail to respond to interferon or who relapse is problematic. The focus of this symposium was the efficacy of Stronger Neo-Minophagen C (SNMC) and its immunologic mechanism in the treatment of chronic active liver disease.
