On the Probabilistic Description of an Asynchronous DHA FH OFDMA System with Threshold Noncoherent Reception

In what follows an asynchronous DHA FH OFDMA (Dynamic Hopset Allocation Frequency Hopping) system with threshold noncoherent reception is considered. DHA FH OFDMA systems are a novel class of FH systems that combines frequency hopping with positional coding. DHA FH OFDMA with noncoherent reception is the most promising technique since it turns out to be much more jamming proof than other known multiple access systems including those utilizing conventional frequency hopping. An analytical expression of the probability density function of the decision statistics utilized in the considered system has been obtained using characteristic function apparatus.
