About this book series

The aim of the book series Forestry Sciences is to present state-of-the-art results on the research, development, and application of forest sciences. Broad in scope, the series covers nearly all aspects related to the natural sciences of forests, including but not limited to forest soils, forest hydrology, tree genetics and breeding, tree biotechnology, forest biometrics, modeling and mapping, forest health, forest pathology and entomology, and forest fire and fuel management. Volumes on methodology with a theoretical emphasis are especially welcome. The series publishes solicited or unsolicited Contributed Volumes (a collection of reviews written by experts) and Monographs (a comprehensive overview of a specific topic written by one or multiple authors) with high academic quality. This collection appeals to a broad audience, including international scientists, advanced students, forest managers, and practitioners.
