Thermal and acoustic effects in absorbing liquids under the action of pulsed light beams

Abstract

We present the results from simulating the impact of pulsed light beams of different spatial structures (Gaussian, Bessel, singular) in absorbing liquids. Profiles of refractive index inhomogeneities excited in a medium are calculated and the kinetics of their relaxation is studied.
