Abstract
In many circumstances, Russian industry needs small batches of special steels and alloys. The role of Bardin Central Research Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy in the development and production of special steels and precision alloys is outlined. The goals and capabilities of the Bardin Institute’s experimental-industrial complex are described.
