Abstract

This paper reveals the general and special features of popular scientific publications and online media projects using the example of the Science and Life journal and, respectively, the Daily Russian Science and LabaMedia media projects. The general features are maintenance of the concept of education, information, and promotion of science and scientific knowledge at a high level. The distinctive features are the capabilities of multimedia and interactive communication, efficiency in the case of innovative projects, and publication of voluminous texts.
