Wavefront evolution of a plane wave passing through an area with heterogeneities

Abstract

A two-dimensional eikonal equation with the right-hand side tending to unity as the distance from the origin of coordinates tends to infinity is considered. Some formulas describing the wavefront in such a medium are obtained.
