Synthesis of glycyrrhetinic acid monoglycoside by hydrolysis of glycyrrhizic acid in subcritical water

Abstract

A method for the synthesis of glycyrrhetinic acid monoglycoside by hydrolysis of glycyrrhizic acid in subcritical water at temperatures ranging between 100 and 300°C is under development. The maximum yield of the target product is achieved at 160°C.
