Abstract
The reaction of sulfation of betulin with chlorosulfonic acid in dioxane or dimethylformamide was found to proceed in homogeneous medium at 40–60°C. It was shown that the esterification of betulin to betulin 3,28-disulfate was completed for 4–5 hours. Betulin disulfate was isolated in the form of the sodium salt.
