Abstract

An explanation of a significant difference between the modern experimental data on nucleation rate and the results of the classical theory of nucleation is proposed on the basis of analysis of the mass transfer during the growth of dropletlets from clusters. The continuous operation devices, viz., a laminar diffusion chamber and a diffusion chamber, are considered.
