Effectiveness of consideration of deformations in problems of fingerprint identification

Abstract

In the paper, we consider some refined methods for fingerprint recognition taking into account a distorting factor, namely, elastic deformations arising when a finger contacts with the scanner surface. We show that the consideration of elastic deformations significantly improves the quality of fingerprint recognition.
